Our story

Some of life's most beautiful stories begin in the most unexpected ways. Ours began with a little luck, a dating app, and two people who had unknowingly made themselves the very same promise: if this date did not work out, it would be the last.
Fortunately, fate seemed to have other plans.
What was meant to be a simple afternoon together became six hours of effortless conversation. Somewhere between two o'clock and eight, time quietly slipped away, and neither of us was quite ready to say goodbye. There were no grand declarations, only the quiet discovery of something wonderfully rare: the comfort of being entirely ourselves in the presence of another.
From the beginning, ours was a love that grew through gentleness, honesty, and mutual respect. We discovered that love need not be loud to be profound, nor extraordinary to be deeply felt. Sometimes, it is found in the simplest things: a conversation that never seems to end, a shared silence that asks for nothing, or the peace of simply being together.
Between winding hiking trails, the pages of beloved books, countless journeys through Middle-earth, and a rather questionable amount of sarcasm, we found something extraordinary in the ordinary. We learned that even the simplest moments can become memories worth keeping when shared with the right person.
Of course, like any story worth telling, ours has known its difficult chapters. We have learned that love does not promise a life without storms, nor does it mean always seeing the world through the same eyes. Rather, it asks for patience when understanding does not come easily, honesty when silence would be simpler, and the willingness to listen, to forgive, and to grow together without losing ourselves along the way.
And so, as we begin this next chapter, we do not see marriage as the destination of our story, nor as the promise of a perfect life. We see it as a promise to keep choosing each other, deliberately and wholeheartedly, in all the seasons still to come.
To laugh together in the sunshine and hold each other through the rain. To speak the truth with kindness, to grow without growing apart, and to never stop finding new reasons to fall in love. To cherish the little adventures, the long conversations, and the ordinary moments that make a lifetime extraordinary.
Because of all the stories we could have written, this is the one we will always choose.
